sorry but the implications of imogen’s reaction to yu now that imodna has kissed are fucking crazy like. imogen taking like a giant ass pause and then responding “no” with a questioning lilt in her voice to yu asking if her and laudna were a thing PLEASE WALK WITH ME.
like no. her and laudna were not a thing. she never thought about it that way before. they were just laudna and imogen, together against the world. but now that someone has said it out loud to her, now that there is someone that imogen views as almost a threat to her and laudna’s relationship, now that someone has confronted her with the possibility that her and laudna could be “romantically entangled,” she realizes it - it’s all she wants. she’s IN LOVE with laudna.
but she doesn’t know what to do because they’re fighting and then laudna says that she hasn’t accessed that part of her brain in forever, so imogen thinks that there’s no way that laudna feels the same way that imogen has so earth-shatteringly discovered about her.
and then laudna DIES. and then she comes back but it’s never the right time and imogen doesn’t want to push her or ruin the incredible thing they already have. and then they’re separated and everyone else around her is falling in love and having a threesome (lol), and imogen’s alone. laudna’s not with her. again. so of course, when she sees her again, it’s the final push she needs - she can’t waste any more time. so she goes for it, and laudna kisses her back.
